The Gaahleri World Creator Cup (GWCC) is more than a competition; it is a high-stakes, professional marathon designed to showcase the discipline, technical mastery, and creative vision of the world’s elite makers. Hosted by Gaahleri and Kaleido ColorWorks, the GWCC celebrates the entire lifecycle of creation, from the first digital sculpt to the final airbrushed detail.
Our mission is to provide a world-class stage for creators to prove their skills, share their processes, and set new standards in the global maker community.

What makes GWCC different from other modeling contests?
Most contests judge only the final result. The GWCC judges the entire journey. It is a 4-month professional marathon where your discipline, documentation, and community engagement are just as important as the final paint stroke. We want to see how you solve problems, what are your concept, ideas and creativity, not just how you finish.
Where is the competition hosted?
The competition lives at www.gwcc.online, a custom social competition network built specifically for this event. However, initial registration and vetting take place at www.gaahleri.com/pages/gwcconline .
What are the difference between 3D Design & Printing and the rest of the categories?
3D Design & Printing means that you have to design your own 3D files, print them and finish them. In contrary, for example, if you bought/receive/download the 3D file, print them and finish them, then it is considered as NOT 3D Design & Printing. It could be of the other 4 categories depending on what the file is. It could fall under Sci-fi, miniature, military or auto.
Who can enter the GWCC?
The GWCC is for everyone. Whether you are a professional or a highly skilled hobbyist, you must pass a vetting process. We aren’t just looking for talent; we are looking for creators who can commit to a 4-month build schedule.
What does the "Vetting Process" involve?
After you register, our team will guide you through a simple activation process where we explain to you the in and outs of GWCC, the rules, the competition's logic, the judging criteria, and how the judging works.
As this is our first time hosting such a big scale competition with a specially developed social/voting website, we want to make sure that you are comfortable for the entire competition.
As this is our first time hosting such a big scale competition with a specially developed social/voting website, we want to make sure that you are comfortable for the entire competition.
Can I enter a project I’ve already started?
No. The GWCC is about the process. We expect projects to be started fresh for the competition so the community can follow the journey from the very beginning.
What is the "Weekly Update" rule?
Starting May 11, every contestant must post at least one progress update every seven days on gwcc.online. This can be a video or a gallery of up to 10 images with a written description. This is to prevent any frauds from cheating the system with past work. We know that this isn't foolproof, but we just want to cover every base we can.
If you have any special reason why you can't commit to this, let us know and we will work something out. :)
If you have any special reason why you can't commit to this, let us know and we will work something out. :)
What happens if I miss a weekly update?
We use a Two-Misses System:
First Week Missed: You receive an official warning. No penalty.
Second Week Missed: Your profile is automatically set to "Inactive." Gaahleri management will conduct an immediate review of the situation to understand the reason behind. If nothing fraudulent is found, then your status will be restored.
Are there specific tools I have to use?
While we encourage the use of Gaahleri airbrushes and Kaleido ColorWorks paints, you are free to use the tools that best suit your craft.
How is the judging handled?
Your work is scored from 1.0 – 10.0 across 12 specific criteria (like Assembly Quality, Color Theory, or Innovation & more). Your final score is a weighted average of expert judges, brand evaluation, and public voter sentiment.
I'm planning to build dioramas too, will that be included into the final scoring?
The answer is YES. Dioramas are extremely important to convey the story you're telling. Projects with or without diorama will be treated as a whole and be judged equally.
When are the winners announced?
The build ends on September 9, 2026. Judging takes place from September 10–15, and the official winners are announced on September 16, 2026.
How do the prizes work?
Prizes are a 50/50 split between Liquid Cash and Gaahleri Gift Card. For example, a Category Champion receives $800 USD via PayPal/Wire and an $800 USD digital gift card for our official store. Meanwhile the physical medal and merchandises will be shipped to your registered address.
Do I have to be a contestant to join the site?
No! We encourage everyone to register as a Voter. As a registered voter, you are entitled to 12 votes, you can follow your favorite creators, leave comments, and participate in the public sentiment scoring that helps determine the winners.
Is there a cost to enter?
There is no entry fee for the GWCC. We provide the platform and the stage; you provide the talent and the time.
I still have more question, how?
